Shannon Williams King
Founder/Broker, ABR, GRI
Shannon@tribellarealty.com
Shannon’s dream was fulfilled in 2003 when she opened TriBella Realty. The past 8 years of being a REALTOR in Austin has allowed her the privilege of handling over 350 real estate transactions, giving her extensive knowledge on the Austin market.
Before receiving her license, she was a client herself for six months searching for "that perfect home." It was during this time she realized her passion for real estate. Her first home was truly a "fixer-upper." It took approximately 15 months for a complete renovation. She was not only the homeowner: she was the architect, the interior decorator, and the general contractor. From this experience, her passion for renovating homes grew into a serious interest in investing in Real Estate. After taking on several other major home renovations she took the plunge and became a landlord. Her experiences of being a past teacher, a home buyer, a general contractor, and a landlord, led to her success of being a Realtor.
Her approach to working with clients is asking “How does it affect your overall portfolio? Whether you are buying your first home, dream home, investment property, or selling, what really matters is the long term financial advantages you will gain from owning that property.” She is fully committed to being a resource for her clients before, during and after the transaction. One way she does this is through education. As the first agent in Austin teaching Real Estate Investing techniques at the University of Texas Informal Classes, she set the standards for real estate education. To see a current list of her classes visit www.informalclasses.org
At the age of 30, Shannon has many awards and appointments to attest to her success as a REALTOR. In 2007 the president of The National Association of REALTORS (NAR) appointed Shannon to a two year term on the Strategic Planning Committee to represent the perspective of consumers and REALTORS under the age of 35. Out of 1.4 million members, NAR also selected Shannon to receive the annual 30 under 30 award in 2005. She travels and speaks at NAR conferences.
A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, Shannon has been a part of the Austin community for years. She has served for the Austin Board of Realtors Strategic Planning Committee, is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin, is a member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, a member of Habitat for Young Professionals, and the Susan B Komen Foundation.
